I got a kick out of how this ad ends… I actually laughed out loud with this one.
Enjoy.
If you can’t see the movie, you probably need Macromedia/Adobe FlashPlayer.

This past saturday, our diocese voted in a new bishop. It seems people made the safe vote (in my opinion). Don’t get me wrong, I think Mr. Hoskins has done a really good job of holding things together since our last bishop resigned, but I’m concerned that he will just maintain the status quo. It’s true we could use some stability in our diocese, but our situation is uncomfortable for many people and I think that many people are tired of wondering where we are headed. The clergy might like the stability, but the peopel need someone to have a little back bone and create some forward movement. Mr. Hoskins’ if you read this, and you think I’m wrong in that you do intend to try and move us forward, I’ll be happy to be proven wrong. That being said, I have to believe God knows what he’s doing by allowing you to be bishop.
So this means of course that my dad is not the new bishop. We’re all ok with it. It was a little disappointing. I was sad to see that my parents would not be closer by for the next few years. It was also too bad that the diocese would not gain the benefit of my dad’s leadership. I really think he would have done some great things for our diocese, but now we’ll likely never know.
So now we just need to sit back and see what happens. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to Poland.
Well, the trip to Poland that I’ve mentioned in the past has become a reality. We have the tickets booked and paid for. We are currently working at building the team. We have all the members in place, we just need to get them all working together as a unit. It’s an interesting challenge as the team is split between Calgary and Medicine Hat. So far this has been going quite well. I think we have a strong team shaping up.
